SCADA solution monitors geographically distributed assets

14 April 2015

The latest release of PcVue SCADA solution, 11.1, created by ARC Informatique, is said to include a variety of innovative features.

The latest version features the ability to monitor geographically distributed assets and IP network devices, helping to improve operator effectiveness with data analysis tools and developer productivity with advanced automation of configuration.

GEO Map Control, a built-in component for geographical information system (GIS) decision making, provides live interactive maps from mapping services such as Google and Microsoft. Maps are interactive and dynamic; supporting both off-line and on-line maps access.
PcVue graphical objects can be used as markers including animations and display of real-time asset status and alarms. No scripting or programming is required to configure the Map Control.

Data Analysis for operator decision-making support is an increasing requirement in a modern SCADA application and PcVue 11.1 allows opeartors to move from real-time to analysis mode and back in just a few clicks. The resulting visualisation may be with dashboard KPI displays or the X-Y charting control for correlation and statistical analysis.
