Water industry solutions on display

07 April 2015

Mitsubishi Electric is set to present a portfolio of solutions designed for the water industry at the ‘PUMPENplatz’ at Hanover trade fair next week.

Providing clean drinking water and handling waste water are both critical issues. Strict requirements, such as the EU’s Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive, provide the official framework conditions for water quality.

Mitsubishi Electric can offer a range of its solutions for the water industry, which can be tailored to meet customers' specific requirements.

The programming environment of its iQ Works contains all the functions required for each phase of the system to be developed – from graphic system design through actual program generation to system operation and maintenance. Besides central monitoring, there is also a decentralised control concept for extensive sewage treatment plants.

The iQ Platform, which forms the core of the Mitsubishi Electric network hierarchy, is used to support most of the open networks in use in automation technology today. Reduced energy usage has a key role in both water supply and the transportation of waste water.

Further, frequency inverters from the FR-A/F800 series are optimised to operate a range of pumps in accordance with these requirements.

The operator panels of the GOT-Series also fulfil specific water industry demands and can be adapted to the corresponding processes and conditions according to the screen sizes available.
