Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) tagging allows users to isolate network segments from other devices that are on the same network, while Quality of Service (QoS) gives them the opportunity to prioritize control, video and voice data transmission requirements for each of your I/O control devices. The radios are also compatible with AeroScout tags, which let users track devices and people (such as miners) and monitor the safety of those assets. The AeroScout tags can be tracked wherever they go, making it easier for companies to monitor operations, even widespread ones, for potential issues. 

The radios also ensure secure, reliable and fast connectivity with speeds up to 300 Mbps for SCADA automation, process control and mobile worker Wi-Fi infrastructures. Fast Roaming offers seamless networking for assembly lines, material handling systems and underground mining applications. 

The Weatherproof IP67 Fast Industrial Hotspot radio is water-tight for use in extreme weather applications, and dust-tight for use in mining applications. The radio does not need a separate enclosure (simplifying its installation in most cases) and can be positioned outside or in areas where water spray or extreme environments are possible.

The radios operate in the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands.
