The Association’s ‘Vision in Action’ theme will feature presentations including: The Icing Robot - can a robot replace skilled decorators and be used to ice a cake? Extended wavelength Imaging – Seeing the invisible; USB3.0 Vision, the NEW Vision Standard - Facts, Set-up & Migration explained; ‘Lasers in 3D imaging; and Hyper Spectral Imaging for Industrial Measurements.The seminar programme will look at how 3D imaging can be used to address the tricky requirements to automate icing a cake; how imaging outside of visible wavelengths can give better accuracy, faster throughput and improved quality compared to traditional imaging for some applications; the benefits of the new USB3 Vision Standard and how USB3.0 cameras can be integrated into a system; the applications of laser lines in 3D imaging and other measurement applications using structured light, and the use of hyperspectral imaging techniques. The presenters will be imaging specialists from Alrad Imaging, Gilden Photonics, Multipix Imaging, Scorpion Vision and STEMMER IMAGING. The program will run on both days of the exhibition, with the first session beginning at 10.45 AM on each day.
