The PROFIBUS Group 20th Anniversary Celebration Conference

18 December 2012

The UK PROFIBUS Group was founded in May 1993. To celebrate its 20th year the group is organising a 20th Anniversary Celebration Conference to be held on June 26th at The Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Control Engineering Europe will be reporting on the event over the next few issues, with the June issue including the complete conference line up and interviews with some of the presenters, to offer an idea of what delegates will be able to learn on the day.

The conference is designed for engineers, managers and anyone concerned with the real issues of implementing fieldbus and/or industrial Ethernet technologies. A host of top speakers and some very able engineers have already confirmed that they will be present at the event present the facts, offering advice and demonstrating systems. PI Chairman, KarstenSchnieder, for example, will be presenting the keynote address and will be using the event to unveil some interesting new information.

The programme will contain a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and hands-on practical sessions that are suitable for a wide variety of experience – from first-time users to those with extensive experience with working systems. It will cover latest developments in PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology for factory and process automation including safety, motion control, wireless implementations and integration with the Internet and MES. The event will also be supported by a table top exhibition.

There will be plenty of opportunity for delegates to meet and network with the industry’s VIPS and experts including members of the UK Group.
