Ulrich Turck elected chairman of the Fieldbus Foundation EMEA

The Fieldbus Foundation has announced that Ulrich Turck, managing director of Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG and Turck Holding GmbH, has been elected as chairman to its Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Executive Advisory Council (EAC) for the next annual term of office.

Turck takes over the chairmanship from Jean-Marie Alliet of Honeywell Process Systems. Elections for the post of Vice-Chairman for the 2012/2013 term of office will be held at the council's meeting which is due to be held at the SPS/IPC/Drives exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany later this month.

Marc Van Pelt, vice-president – Fieldbus Foundation EMEA Operations, said: “I would like to thank Jean-Marie Alliet for his dedication to the role of chairman over the last two years and I am looking forward to working closely with Ulrich over the forthcoming year as we progress further with several FOUNDATION technology and marketing initiatives throughout the EMEA region.

“The marketplace is currently experiencing challenging times but it is also an exciting time in terms of the many technological advancements of FOUNDATION technology for automation infrastructures and how we meet the needs of global end users."
