Sensor/actuator cabling for the food sector

Phoenix Contact has expanded its existing range of sensor/actuator cabling products with new versions designed for applications in the food industry. These products feature smooth stainless steel surfaces and a hygienic design.

All surfaces in food production areas need to be as flat as possible and designed without gaps or intermediate spaces. Plants and systems may also need to placed in areas were a aggressive procedures take place to secure the appropriate level of hygiene. Further, foodstuffs or their packaging must not become polluted by coming into contact with plant or machine parts. The new range of devices for the food industry complies with these requirements. The materials used meet the requirements of the FDA.

In addition to the cabling for food areas, the company can also offer a range of passive M5, M8 und M12 sensor/actuator cabling products to connect peripheral devices to the control system.
