Energy chain and cable company, igus UK, has launched a free guide and sample box for its chainflex cables, which are designed to meet the requirements of dynamic applications.

The guide aims designed to help electrical engineers specify the most effective cable for movement. It outlines the common failure modes of cables and explains how chainflex cables are designed to overcome these. Full technical details of various chainflex cable types – from copper to fibre optic cables – for measuring systems, robot, servo, power, bus, data and control systems are listed in an included catalogue which also gives many real-life application tests and results.

chainflex cables are designed for use in demanding moving applications, offering with high cycle rates, compact design spaces, and small bending radii of up to four times the outer cable diameter.

chainflex continuous-flex cables are available with no minimum order quantities, cutting charges or copper surcharge and can be delivered from stock in just 24 hours. Custom cables for lengths of over 500m can also be manufactured and the chainflex cables come with a certified guarantee.
