Emerson acquires level gauge manufacturer

Emerson has acquired ISE Magtech, in a bid to strengthen its level measurement solution offerings in the oil and gas, refining, chemical and power generation industries of Emerson Process Management.

ISE Magtech is a designer and manufacturer of level gauges and associated equipment for use in industrial applications. "This acquisition is strategic to extending our solutions to help oil & gas, refining, chemical and power plant operators to monitor and control conditions in a wide range of applications," said Tom Moser, president of Rosemount Measurement. "ISE Magtech’s knowledge and technology combine perfectly with Rosemount technology to expand Emerson’s offering."

Rosemount Guided Wave Radar provides measurement of fluids across a variety of process conditions. ISE Magtech’s Magnetic Level Gauge, coupled with the Rosemount Guided Wave Radar, creates a complete liquid measurement solution by combining a local visual indication of level with a robust transmitter to support plant operators’ needs for visual and automated system monitoring.
