Indeed its PRT2 Precision Ring Track offers the system designer the means to create circuits of limitless variety. Elements from this range will form part of the main working exhibit and also a separate system demonstrating a spiral configuration. In common with all products in the HepcoMotion® range the PRT2 is subject to continuous development and the latest product to emerge from R&D will feature at the show in Farnborough. It is the PRT2 Timing Belt Ring which is introduced in six sizes, complete with pulleys and toothed timing belts, to provide a clean and integrated solution for driven rotary motion. The HepcoMotion® design has a self-aligning V-groove in the pulley which eliminates the need for flanges and the entire assembly provides many performance benefits. High driving force and speed – up to 5m/s at the periphery – are complemented by accuracy and low backlash. Requiring no lubrication or re-tensioning, these new additions also run very quietly.Southern Manufacturing will be the launch platform for this product and also for the new HepcoMotion® LMI Linear Measuring Indicator. This easy-to-install system can also be adapted for rotary applications where angular measurement is required. Highly versatile and therefore economical, LMI provides repeatable, precise measurement to improve productivity and reduce rejects in many industrial applications. On the stand, the new HepcoMotion® LMI will be teamed with the company’s flagship GV3 linear slide system to guide the sensor head in parallel to coded magnetic tape. This demonstration will also show the merits of the HepcoMotion® carriage locking system that provides extra stability for consistent and precise length control. LMI is equally suited to the HepcoMotion® SL2 range of standard stainless steel linear motion components. Examples of SL2 and other corrosion resistant options, together with a variety of products from the HepcoMotion® driven linear actuator range, complete the Southern Manufacturing exhibits.www.hepcomotion.com
