Enhanced Camera Link and GigE Vision-compliant dual line scan cameras

28 November 2011

Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company, has optimised the performance and improved functionality of its Spyder3 Camera Link and GigE Vision-compliant dual line scan cameras.

Originally launched in 2006, the Spyder3 has proved itself in many OME and system integration projects, providing good signal to noise ratios using a patented dual line scan sensor technology.

The new enhancements add value by improving operating performance and simplifying set-up and deployment of the camera.

Improvements include increased maximum operating temperature for the unit – rising from 50°C to 65°C and an improved GUI to make the system easier to use and make camera set-up more intuitive. Spyder3 is now supported by Sapera Vision Software that offers a common development environment for Teledyne DALSA's full range of cameras and frame grabbers in addition to many third-party cameras well as hundreds of third party camera models; Sapera Vision Software is updatable and offers comprehensive application specific tools.
