The event is being held on Thursday, 6 October, in conjunction with WorldSkills London 2011, the world’s largest international skills Competition (www.worldskillslondon2011.com), at ExCeL London from 5-8 October 2011. Visitors will also be able to try the tools for themselves on the Fluke stand at the event.

The WorldSkills Leaders Forum (WSLF) is an annual global event which brings together international business and government representatives making a difference in skills development and promotion.

Top speakers from around the world will be addressing the impact that vocational training has on economic growth. Following presentations from key leaders in business and commerce, participants will have their chance to engage through a ‘Question Time’ style session exploring the benefits of investing in skills, the role skills will play in the global economic recovery and the importance of striving for excellence as a way of motivating young people.

A networking lunch will be held during the WSLF and many examples of policy and best practice will be shared over the course of the day. The WSLF is supported by WorldSkills International’s Global Industry Partners in partnership with City & Guilds.

WorldSkills London 2011 is set to be the world's largest international skills competition with young people from across the globe competing to be the ‘best of the best’ in their chosen skill. Around 150,000 visitors are expected and they will see 1,000 competitors from over 50 countries/regions competing in 46 skill areas over four exciting days of competition. Over 100 colleges from across the UK will be showcasing their skills and talents at the event. Experts will also be on hand to share their knowledge and offer careers advice.

As a Global Industry Partner (GIP) of WorldSkills International since 2004, and a sponsor since 1999, Fluke Corporation uses WorldSkills as part of its international education programme. Working collectively with other GIPs, Fluke aims to develop best practices and standards globally across industries, while producing a mobile workforce with portable skills.
