Lang turbine control updated

A turbine control system is being supplied by Metso to a Lang steam turbine at the Martinlaakso power plant in Vantaa, Finland.

The new controller will replace the original control system in the turbine. Metso will also be making changes to the turbine hydraulics as well as vibration protection. An option for Metso’s condition monitoring application is included in the agreement.

The turbine controller will be integrated with the existing Metso DNA automation system, which improves plant cost efficiency and makes its maintenance easier.
