Sensing and measurement gets its own UK show

21 September 2010

Sensing and measurement will take centre stage when a new show hits the UK market next week. The Sensing Technology show will open the doors to Birmingham’s NEC from September 28 to 29.

A seminar programme, delivered by the Electronics, Sensors and Photonics Knowledge Transfer network covers Advances in Imaging CMOS sensors, New Developments in Gas Sensing, The State of the Art in Modern Stress and Strain Analysis and Challenges and Future Needs for Sensors in the Water Sectors.

The show will also encompass a Wireless Sensing Demonstrator Showcase organised by the Wireless Sensing Interest subGroup (WiSIG) of the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics Knowledge Transfer Network (ESP KTN).

ESP KTN argues that early prototyping has proven to be a useful methodology to evaluate wireless sensing systems. Therefore, the Demonstrator Showcase aims to provide an opportunity for industry and academia to display technology, platforms, and realistic applications of wireless sensing. The group hopes the event will raise awareness of the current state of the art and encourage future collaborations among the exhibitors and attendees.
