Stemmer keeps the costs down with AVT

14 September 2010

Stemmer Imaging has taken the wraps off a new family of GigE cameras from AVT. The new Manta range is available in monochrome and colour versions.

The cameras are based on a single board electronic architecture and a rugged cast housing with Sony CCD sensors to provide resolution from VGA to two Mpixels.

Stemmer stresses that the Manta range uses cost effective components and a design which reduces manufacturing costs. However, the company says the feature set it offers is generally found on more expensive cameras.

Colour versions include colour interpolation/colour correction functions and Manta features include ROI (Region of Interest Readout), auto-exposure, white balance, hue, saturation, sharpness (colour versions), gain, gamma (0.5), selectable ROI for auto features, binning, image hold, StreamBytesPerSecond (easy bandwidth control) and three storable user sets.
