Regal Beloit pushes into Europe with Rotor acquisition

Regal Beloit Corporation has acquired Rotor, a Netherlands headquartered motor specialist. The company that is based in Eibergen sells standard and special electric motors into numerous industries throughout Europe and Japan.

Rotor sells motors into various industries including ship building

The management of Rotor will continue to lead the company following the acquisition.

Henry W. Knueppel, chairman and CEO of Regal Beloit, said: "[Rotor] has an outstanding management team that has grown the business in Europe and beyond. The addition of Rotor strengthens our European commercial position and adds vertical market segment strengths. The Rotor addition represents continued progress on our strategy of geographic and market segment diversification."
