Gulf of Mexico oil spill tops ONS conference programme

10 August 2010

With just two weeks to go before the ONS 2010 conference organisers have revealed further details of speakers and topics. The Gulf of Mexico will top the bill, with heads of government, ministers, technical specialists and analysts discussing the future impact of the BP oil disaster.

Organisers of the Offshore Northern Seas event say there is still time to register for the event that is set to host high profile speakers such as Jens Stoltenberg, Prime Minster of Norway and Helge Lund, president and CEO of Statoil ASA.

Kevin Costner will also attend the event in the capacity of founder of Blue Planet Solutions and Ocean Therapy Solutions. Costner, who has seen the Gulf of Mexico crisis propel his oil filtering technology into the limelight, will be joined by CEO of his company, Patrick N. Smith.
