UKIVA and BARA celebrate show success

22 June 2010

The UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) and the British Automation and Robotics Association (BARA) have celebrated the success of their dedicated Vision and Robotics Pavilion at the recent Total Processing and Packaging show. The organisations said the facility provided a focal point for vision and robotics and placed both technologies firmly at the heart of the show.

Many exhibitors, according to the UKIVA, were potential users of vision as part of their systems, but not showing it at the event. Inspection capabilities at Total also included X-ray inspection, which made use of image processing techniques in just the same way as conventional optical images.

UKIVA claims the show demonstrated that vision is rapidly becoming an integral part of automation in manufacturing industry, and this is a key factor in helping UK manufacturing to be competitive in world markets.
