With less than six months to go before Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) in Stavanger, organisers have announced its innovation awards are open for nominations. The ONS Foundation also said the conference programme will soon be in place and exhibition space is almost fully booked.

The exhibition will take place August 24 to 27, 2010 in Stavanger, Norway. Its innovation awards were introduced in 1982 to showcase and promote innovative ideas. The deadline for entries is May 20, 2010.

Since 2004 the original Innovation Award has been supplemented with an SME Innovation Award and this year the awards are open to all companies, not just exhibitors.

Kjell Ursin-Smith, the CEO of the ONS Foundation, said it was already becoming difficult to reserve stand space at this year’s ONS. “We still have some vacant space in the Renewable Energy and CCS Parks,” he added.
