ABB’s portfolio of control solutions significantly improves process applications of all sizes across the entire range of process industries. In addition to System 800xA, these solutions include the Freelance 800F, Compact Products 800 as well as ABB's large installed base of traditional control systems. In his new role, Huber will also have the business responsibility of specific system solutions, applications, and services for the life science, speciality chemical, food, beverage and printing industries, and help to build and strengthen ABB’s network of third party sales channel partners. Most recently, Huber was global technology manager for ABB’s Process Industries Products business, and oversaw product roadmaps and forward evolution for ABB’s control systems portfolio. He joined ABB in 1987 and has held numerous positions in research and development, product management, marketing, sales, service, and business development in ABB’s Power Generation and Utility Automation businesses, as well as corporate research. He has also held similar positions at Adtranz and General Electric. Huber holds an advanced management degree from the Business School of St. Gallen in Switzerland, as well as engineering degrees from University Hagen and the University of Applied Science in Offenburg in Germany.
