Traditionally, long coupled peristaltic pumps last longer than other types because the pump and drive have their own separate bearing and seal system. This reduces maintenance cycles and due to the resulting reduction in downtime, keeps costs down too. The long coupled design provides separation between the pump, gearbox and motor unit.
