This avoids common problems with USB-serial converters whose COM port number will move around when plugged into different USB ports on the same PC, making application software configuration problematic and generating major tech support issues. The common RS422 and 2/4-wire RS485 interfaces are supported, as are all common baud rates up to 115200.The USB-485 uses similar RS485 pinouts to the KK Systems K2/K3 converters and is ideal for use with modern laptops which rarely have RS232 ports.
