Dealing with power supply failures

The failures of a machine can cause high costs. In order to prevent this, electrical engineers take extensive measures to increase the reliability of their machines and installations. Murrelektronik offers a solution with the new redundancy module MB Diode.

If a power supply fails, the MB diode module will integrate a connected spare power supply unit without interrupting operation.

In the sense of a redundant design, all power supply units are integrated into the supply system through one or several MB diode series.

It also reports the problem to the control system with integrated signal contacts. The failure is also indicated via LEDs located directly on the MB diode module.

A bridge system allows several redundancy modules to be connected together which considerably reduces wiring efforts.

MB Diode is contained in a compact housing. A similar housing is used for MICO, Murrelektronik’s intelligent power distribution system.
