AspenTech reveals Achema line-up

AspenTech has announced a series of presentations focussing on energy efficiency that its specialists will deliver at Achema 2009 held May 11 – 15 in Frankfurt, Germany. The process industry software and service provider will also participate in a roundtable discussion organised by NAMUR, an international association for users of automation in the process industries.

The discussion will take place on May 11 and AspenTech’s, director of business consulting, Fred Gobin will be present. The session focusing on ‘Life Cycle Management: the impact on Engineering Procurement and Construction’ will be facilitated by Dr Valentijn De Leeuw, director of consulting for ARC Advisory Group.

Over the next three days representatives from AspenTech will explore topics ranging from ‘The roe of heat exchanger modelling in process simulation’ to ‘The use of process models to improve plant operations.

The final presentation will be given by Professor Wolfgang Arlt, chair of separation science and technology at the University of Erlangen, and is titled ‘Modelling Fossil Power Stations plus CO2-scrubbing Units with Aspen Plus’.
