Rafsha's appointment is the latest development in Hima-Sella's ongoing strategy to grow its existing business in the UK rail sector. During his successful, fifteen-year career at Transmitton, Rafsha worked his way up from software engineer to principal specialist engineer with responsibility for design, development, application and testing of a wide range of specialist software with a number of global giants including Shell and BP. Customer information systems (CIS) and fire detection systems for London Underground were also part of his remit. Prior to that, he worked at Atlantis Aerospace, in Toronto, Canada, Merlin Systems in Staffordshire, and Leicestershire's JB Micro Systems. In his role at Hima-Sella, Rafsha's key responsibility will be overseeing all CIS and Public Address systems being developed through Hima-Sella's partnership with Funkwerk Information Technologies Karlsfeld GmbH. Funkwerk is among the leading European suppliers of operations control technology and has been developing integrated control systems for rail bound public transport for more than 20 years. James Hibbert, product development and projects manager at Hima-Sella, said: "Amir's appointment is a positive step forward for our growing company. His specialist expertise significantly enhances what is already a highly skilled and experienced transport team."
