The design goal for Nematron's ePC-Series computers was to provide a traditional industrial computer with high end processing performance in a small footprint for hazardous locations.

With an Ultra-thin profile and support for Celeron M and Core Duo performance the ePC is ideal for HMI/SCADA applications.

There are currently three display sizes in the series 15, 17, and 19 inchs, all are available with 5-wire Analogue Resistive touch-screens and IP65 front panel environmental protection. With an ultra-thin panel depth of less than 75mm on the 15 inch unit they are particularly effective in harsh environments with space critical installation and especially hazardous locations, such as off-shore oil production platforms.

Stainless steel front panels, solid state non-rotating hard drives, and 24 Volt DC input power are available options for all three. Along with a compact flash socket as standard the ePC has an extensive range of I/O ports which include; two 10/100/1000 Ethernet , one RS-422/485, two RS-232, four USB 2.0, PS/2, and even an external video connection that supports dual display with extended desktop. In addition the SATA hard drive is designed with a socket connection for quick and easy removal.

With options up to an Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHz processor and 2 GB DRAM the ePC-Series provides enough processing power to run the most complex HMI and SCADA applications.
