Turbidity sensor with improved design

09 December 2019

Design optimisations now allow the EXspect 271 turbidity sensor to be used up to process pressures of 16 bar.

he EXspect 271 from EXNER is an NIR backscatter sensor for measuring turbidity. Designed to be compact and durable, the sensor is said to be suitable for determining medium to high turbidity values in a wide range applications, especially in the food and beverage industry.

Cleaning and sterilisation by CIP and SIP procedures are possible and spherical design of the sensor’s measurement optics is said to help minimise adhesion of air bubbles and the formation of deposits.
