Seminars tackle Spanish energy issues

15 July 2008

Wind and solar energy is taking centre stage at this year’s Powerexpo+. The Spanish energy fair, from September 24 to 26, will host a series of seminars organised by associations including the Asociación Empresarial Eólica (Wind Energy Business Association – AEE).

AEE plans to celebrate its fourth technical seminar at the exhibition and, in conjunction with the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX), will organise a trade mission. The objective of these missions is to contribute effectively to the internationalisation of the industry.

In ‘Challenges for Photovoltaic Solar Technology (PV) in Spain’, twelve papers will be presented addressing the current development of the sector.

PROTERMOSOLAR, the Spanish Association for the Promotion of the Thermosolar Energy Industry, will hold a working seminar to analyse legal, operational, financial and environmental aspects of thermoelectric solar projects.

In addition, COGEN Espana has organised a seminar on high-efficiency cogeneration, which will concentrate on the principal current issues in the sector, such as microgeneration. Finally, the Spanish Fuel Cell Association (APPICE) will hold its Third National Fuel Cell Congress (CONAPPICE 2008).
