New tilt sensor offers high performance in a compact, robust, low-power package

04 July 2008

Penny + Giles' model STT280 measures up to ±60°, with an output range from 0.5 to 4.5Vdc over the full inclination angle.

Based on proven solid-state technology, the sensor has a low power requirement of less than 6.5mA, so it can be used in hard-wired or battery-powered systems, for maximum flexibility for OEMs. By using this technology, the STT280 provides distinct advantages in reliability, stability and compactness over fluid based, electrolytic and pendulum operated tilt sensors.
