Paragon Skills appeals for young recruits

26 June 2008

Paragon Skills for Industry has said it can help tackle the engineering skills shortage with 60 apprenticeships up for grabs in Dorset, UK companies. The apprenticeship training provider has highlighted high wages and wider opportunities in the hunt for young people to join its schemes.

The company feels that a stereotypical image of greasy, noisy and dirty environments could be damaging the reputation of the industry.

‘We have some of the best known companies in the country waiting to take on apprentices, offering fantastic career opportunities and excellent salaries,’ said Andy McMinn, director of engineering and technology at Paragon Skills.

‘A career in engineering and technology can be one of the most rewarding careers there is and offers such diversity and opportunity.’
