Ultra compact Industry 4.0 sensor for magnetic motor feedback systems

The ultra compact LEC100 and LEC200 sensor duo has been developed by SIKO to meet the need the speed and/or position of a drive to be communicated to a main controller in real time within magnetic motor feedback systems, where space is often limited.

A sensor system with high resolution and repetitive accuracy is vital to communicate position and speed data to enable the motors to run as smoothly as possible.

The sensor head of the LEC range is compact, at 40 x 10 x 10mm. The height of the sensors has been reduced by more than 50% in comparison to previous models. The sensor is now about as flat as a smartphone, but all of the electronics are accommodated in the sensor housing.

The IP60-rated sensors are available with either an analogue or a digital interface. The user can also choose between accuracy classes +/- 8µm and +/- 15µm.
