Pumps debut at food show

05 February 2008

Mono NOV, will launch a range of hygiene pumps at a food processing and packaging exhibition to be held at Birmingham’s NEC, UK, April 6 to 9. In addition, the designer and manufacturer will use Foodex Meatex to introduce its Helios range of progressing cavity pumps to the food and beverage industry.

The hygienic Helios pumps minimise shear and crush damage to the pumped product and maintain a steady flow when handling viscous products. Typical applications include alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, bakery, dairy products, meat, fruit and vegetables, sauces, preserves, confectionery, fats and oils.

Furthermore, Mono will be promoting its range of Munchers, which macerate food and organic waste matter into small and consistent particle size.

‘Mono has designed and manufactured a range of pumps and macerators to meet the very individual needs of the food and beverage industry,’ said Nichola Vasconcellos, marketing manager at Mono.

‘We looked at how we could develop solutions to improve efficiency of the various stages of production, including harvesting/collection and reception, process/production, waste management/recycling and off-loading. The result is a range of pumps, munchers and packaged solutions that have been specifically developed to ensure food and beverage plants can operate more effectively and efficiently.’

‘Foodex Meatex provides an ideal opportunity for Mono to exhibit these specialist products and, in addition to promoting the recently introduced Helios range and the successful Muncher range, we will be launching a new high-performance hygienic pump at the show, providing visitors with an exclusive first look at this innovative new product.’
