The menu system guides users through the set up process in three steps—selecting the tools, defining the regions, and setting the required parameters by pressing the ‘auto’ button. It provides instant confirmation feedback, with live images and system messages.The ZFX allows multiple inspection tasks to be carried out on the same image. Tools are provided for image pre-processing, position compensation, calibration and data logging. The vision sensors are available in single camera versions that offer all essential functions for a wide range of applications, and two camera versions that have enhanced processing power and additional inspection tools. Both versions support colour and monochrome cameras with integrated lighting and adjustable focus. Standard C-mount cameras are available for total application coverage and flexibility.The ZFX incorporates Ethernet, serial and USB interfaces. These can be used for communication of result data, calculations and images, as well as the uploading and downloading of configuration information and settings. Additionally, 20 digital I/O ports are provided for real-time control, such as handshaking and the generation of trigger signals.
