Nu-way supplied an XGN 2100 modulating burner with a variable speed drive on the combustion fan.The burner was fitted into a 2,000kg/hour Byworth Yorkshireman 2 boiler and is used to create steam for various cooking processes. The Yorkshireman 2, claimed by the Keighley company to have the highest fuel efficiency rating of its type, is said to contribute to the energy savings created by the burner.“The Nu-way burner was chosen for this project as it provides an excellent match to the Byworth boiler, specifically to ensure the high-level of control needed to keep the steam requirement on track,” said James Sopwith, managing director of Nu-way.He said the company had previously supplied burners to food manufacture companies such as Kellogg and KP Foods. “This new contract demonstrates our energy efficient products continue to be the first choice for food process applications.”
