Flir Camera offers easy integration

13 February 2008

Flir Systems demonstrated, in a UK first, its new range of infrared cameras at an optical, photonics, vision and displays technology event.

Visitors to IPOT 2008, held at the NEC, Birmingham, UK, February 13 and 14, 2008, were invited to explore new integration features of the Kent, UK, based company’s ThermoVision A-Series.

Claimed to be the first thermal cameras to be GigE Vision and GenICam compatible, the new cameras also allow easy integration of third party hardware and software.

Furthermore, Flir highlighted the ‘plug-and-play’ benefits of the A320G camera, demonstrating its use through compliance software and a standard PC.

Paul Sacker, UK sales and marketing manager for Flir’s thermography division, said the new range was standards driven and was designed for easy integration, ideal for non-specialists.

Flir also highlighted its recent acquisition of fellow infrared specialist CEDIP. Sacker said the move would provide the company with greater R&D capability.
