Pantek and Wonderware cement relationship

13 February 2007

Pantek has signed a new distribution agreement with Wonderware, cementing a 15-year relationship, and, at the same time, undergoing a restructure.

The Stockport company’s new agreement allows it to sell ‘Wonderware United Kingdom’ and ‘Wonderware Ireland’ brands.

Meanwhile Pantek Limited UK has been renamed as SolutionsPT, which is comprised of three divisions: SoftwarePT, HardwarePT and EmsPT. Software PT comprises the new Wonderware brands and offers the sole authorised support, training and distribution centres for Wonderware products in the UK and Ireland. HardwarePT provides industrial hardware and connectivity tools and EmsPT provides guidance for businesses.

Finally the newly-named SolutionsPT has relocated to new offices in Cheadle, Cheshire.

John Bailey, managing director of SolutionsPT, said: “The restructuring of the Company and the re-branding of Pantek Ltd allows the company to provide close-coupled business delivery with its key suppliers, especially Wonderware.”

He continued: “This will be especially felt with the increasing globalisation of business that is executed on a cross-national boundary basis. The uptake of ArchestrA technology and its measurable deployment cost savings is partially the rationale of this restructure.

“SolutionsPT in combination with activities under the Wonderware United Kingdom and Wonderware Ireland brands will be able to more completely respond to the expectations of globalised companies.”

Mike Bradley, president of the Wonderware business unit of Invensys, concluded: “This agreement is the next major stage in the development of our long standing relationship with Pantek.”
