Hydrogen sensor added to range

14 February 2017

Tyco Gas & Flame Detection has introduced the Meridian hydrogen sensor which comes, as standard, with two user selectable gas ranges: 4% by Volume or 1% by Volume. and is ideal for Hydrogen detection in environments where Catalytic bead sensor use is impractical, or available power is limited.

The sensor is said to be suited to hydrogen detection in environments where catalytic bead sensor use is impractical, or available power is limited.

This new sensor has been added to the Meridian range, which includes range invariant calibration, true hot swap replacement, and the ability to calibrate in the lab and put it quickly into operation in the field.

The sensors employ an electrochemical sensing element that needs recalibration just once every three months for optimum performance.
