Cressall boosts management

17 January 2007

Cressall Resistors has appointed a new manufacturing director in a bid to boost production and expand, a move that should result in the creation of new jobs.

The Leicester engineering firm appointed Cy Wilkinson from Eaton Electronics, where he specialised in lean manufacturing.

Cressall was acquired by the British arm of Italian company, Telema SpA, in February last year. The two firms’ manufacturing bases were consolidated, under the Cressall brand.

Wilkinson said: “We’re preparing to increase our production by 20-25 percent over the next year. To support this growth, we have some really good people here. Their skills and capabilities, as well as those of the new team members, will be the key factor in achieving our goals.”
