Brammer unites across Europe

15 January 2007

Brammer has united 11 separately named companies to become a single trading organisation across Europe.

The industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul distributor says they have now completed a programme begun in 2004.

Ian Fraser, chief executive, said: “Cost pressures on European manufacturers of all sizes are considerable. Any opportunity a supplier can offer to help reduce their operating and purchase costs, at the same time improving their production efficiency, is always welcome.”

He added that the company wanted to preserve the local nature of each national business but said it could now also offer “a broad range of world-beating branded products to customers from Aberdeen in Scotland, to Budapest in Hungary or Zaragoza in Spain.”

Ian Ritchie, UK managing director, said: “We can also pass on service levels, expertise and price advantages to customers, and being Brammer across Europe means we can do this even more effectively, and play an even bigger part in our customers’ future success.
