Petrom gets ABB on-side for Romanian terminal sites

Petrom SA has ordered fully integrated automation systems and related design, as well as engineering and installation services, worth $4.9 million (approximately €3.6m or £2.4m) for pilot terminal sites in Romania.

The Romanian oil and gas group made the order with power and automation specialist ABB because of its “experienced project resources and ability to deliver”.

ABB said the project included analysis, design, development, engineering, configuration, testing, supply and installation of four terminal automation systems based on its T-MAC software integrated with System 800xA Extended Automation.
