For the measurement of liquid levels in large tanks and the differential pressure of high-pressure fluids Yokogawa Electric Corporation has introduced the EJXC40A digital remote sensor, a newly developed DPharp EJX series differential pressure transmitter. 

The EJXC40A consists of two separate pressure sensors connected to each other by an electric cable. Based on the difference in pressures measured by each sensor, the unit determines the liquid level, flow rate, and the pressure of liquids, gasses, and steam. 

Areas of application include liquid level measurements in large tanks where the electric cable connecting the two pressure sensors can be up to 45m in length, enabling the measurement of liquid levels with very large tanks and tall distillation columns.

Because the two pressure sensors are connected only by an electric cable, their measurements are not influenced by changes in the ambient temperature. In fine differential pressure measurement applications there is no need to correct for changes in temperature. This ensures more stable measurements.

The two pressure sensors can be set to measure different pressure ranges so the sensor can measure high differential pressures of up to 70 MPa, something that is difficult to do with a single sensor unit.
