Ultrasonic flow meter for clean liquids

15 December 2015

The FDT7000 series ultrasonic flow meter, from Omega is designed to easy installation. The clamp-on pipe sensors do not require pipe fittings or breaking of the line as they do not come into contact with the internal liquid.

This technology also has advantages over other ultrasonic devices, including low-cost, easy installation no pressure head loss and no moving parts to maintain or replace. It is designed to work on PVC, PP and UPVC pipe systems and offers a wide measuring range for readings over liquid velocities from 0.1 to 6m/sec.

The flow meter has a 4-20mA analogue output which shares a common ground with the power supply. The output transmits a continuous current signal that is proportional to liquid flow rate.
