Kontron has launched the 10in Endurance Tablet, the first in its range of mobile tablets.

Kontron’s Tablets are said to provide the most brilliant display currently available and offers a wide range of integrated I/O and connectivity functions. Designed specifically for use in extreme environments, the Endurance Tablet will still function even if submerged in water, covered in dust, high heat, frost, shock and even after dropping.

Two options are available, the RT-KT-XX Tablet ships with either Intel Atom E3827 processor that supports both Windows and Android OS, or 5th generation Intel core i5 processor with Windows.
Both Tablets have up to 8 GB memory, eight-hour hot swappable battery with option to extend up to 13 hours operation and many connectivity functions. Rugged capabilities include IP65, MIL-STD-810G, and 5 feet drop resistance.

The Kontron Endurance Tablet is said to differ from other tablets on the market by providing 1000 nit sunlight readable display, and capacitive multi-touch that supports glove touch, water rejection, and palm rejection.
