Radiation line sensor for non-invasive pipe wall inspection

Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced an energy-discriminating radiation line sensor that features a direct conversion type semiconductor, to inspect pipe wall thinning due to corrosion. 

The product will add to the inspection services possibilities at facilities such as petroleum refineries, petrochemical plants, and power plants. 

The line sensor can be customised to suit specific requirements, if requested, for example the sensitivity (pixel size) of the sensor. 

The C13247 is currently being exhibited at the Infra-Main Tech trade show at the Tokyo
