Swing-arm panel enables more ergonomic machine operation

02 September 2014

B&R has introduced a new line of swing arm systems. These fully enclosed panels are available in a range of variants and feature IP65 protection.

The range of multi-touch widescreen panels are available in sizes ranging from 18.5in up to 24in with either HD Ready or Full HD resolution.

In applications where space is limited but large displays are still a requirement, a 21.5in model in portrait format is also available. With optional side handles, the panel can be easily manoeuvred.

Two system variants are available with analogue resistive touch screens also available in 4:3 format, allowing users to upgrade their operator hardware without needing to modify the HMI applications.

These panels are connected using standard cables which run conveniently through the swing arm shaft – even after mounting. Alternatively, the Smart Display Link 3 allows up to 100m distances between the PC and panel.

The swing arm systems can be equipped with buttons, selector switches, key switches and an integrated E-stop button as required.
