Setting new standards for decentralised motion control

05 August 2014

With its new ACOPOSmotor, B&R has combined a servo-motor and drive into a single, compact unit with integrated safety technology also being an option. This is said to offer panel builders more freedom when designing a machine and can save space in the control cabinet.

The ACOPOSmotor is connected to the drive network using a hybrid cable which includes all necessary power and signal lines and establishes connection to the POWERLINK network.

The modules come in three sizes with torque ranging from 1.8 to 12 Nm. An optional fan assembly provides a performance boost of up to 100%.

The ACOPOSmotor is compatible with the ACOPOSmulti drive system which makes it possible for users to select the best-suited servo drive for each machine without the need for any additional engineering work.
