Barcodes are best
30 April 2014
The MM7000 alarm thermometer from TME, gives food manufacturers and processors more control over food safety than ever before, thanks to its innovative use of barcode technology. The MM7000 delivers paperless temperature records with the added dimension of new user-set alarms, alerting managers to problem temperatures as they occur – not after the event.
How does it work?
Users set their own critical alarm values, indicating Low/High alarms for each food item, batch or appliance, linked to a unique barcode. When temperatures are taken, the MM7000 scans the barcode, displaying an early warning signal if the result is critical. Temperature, time and date of each test is logged – and most importantly, what has been tested. Data is then easily downloaded using the device’s own Bluetooth and the free software supplied.
Why use Barcodes?
Barcodes can be scanned from any product, ‘menu’of products or appliance
Barcodes can be generated easily using standard spreadsheets
Barcodes can be 100% bespoke – better than arbitrary, pre-set product descriptions
Barcodes capture data immediately – much faster than scrolling through pre-set product Early feedback on the MM7000indicates that for enhanced due diligence, flexibility and practicality, barcode scanning temperature technology is by far the best.
