Chemically-resistant sensor for low liquid flow rates
04 March 2014
Sensirion AG is expanding its range of liquid flow sensors for measuring low flow rates.
Its new LS32-1500 liquid flow sensor is designed for flow rates of 0-40 ml/min, extending the potential application areas. A redesigned housing has resulted in a more compact unit which is mechanically robust.
A fast response time of 30ms, good repeatability and chemical resistance makes the sensor suited to use in biomedical applications such as diagnostic analysers.
It is also suitable for use in fuel cells, for example, as well as a wide range of applications in dosage control and industrial automation monitoring. The sensor is completely non-invasive; Its MEMSchip is located on the outer wall of a capillary and measures through the wall of this channel.
The wetted materials are composed of high-performance stainless steel, PTFE and PEEK, which ensure outstanding biocompatibility and chemical resistance.
