Pressure sensor deals with harsh environments

Sensor technology company tecsis has introduced the P3278 Superior pressure sensor, which is said to be suited to use in industrial applications in harsh environments and for applications in research and development.

The robust design of the sensor enables it to withstand rough environmental conditions. The housing and all wetted parts are made of stainless steel so are able to resist aggressive media. 

Depending on the electrical connectors, the P3278 fulfills industrial protection classes from IP65 up to IP 69K. As the process connection and the measuring cell are welded together the pressure sensor is also able to tolerate high levels of shock and vibrations.

The sensor is available with accuracy classes 1.0%, 0.5% and 0.25% (relative to full range). Measuring ranges start at 0 bar to 4 bar and includes the high pressure range 0 bar to 1,600 bar.

For special tasks the sensor has an optional zero point adjustment ring. All common voltage or current output signals are possible. The user is also able to choose between various process connections.
