Feature rich, compact, micro drive

03 December 2013

Parker Hannifin has introduced a new variable frequency – the AC10 Micro Drive - which offers straightforward motor control for use in everyday applications requiring speed or torque control within the power range of 0.2 to 15 kW.

Believed to be one of the smallest micro drives available, typical applications for AC10 are expected to include conveyors, centrifuges, fans, mixers, packaging machines and textile machines.

Offering compact dimensions the feature rich drive provides an optimised solution for machine builders seeking a cost-effective drive without compromising performance.

Feature of the drive include auto-tuning sensor less vector mode, which takes the device beyond simple V/Hz motor control. This allows users requiring greater dynamic speed or torque control for their application to benefit from the drives enhanced 0.5% speed and 5% torque accuracy.

Other features include output frequency up to 650 Hz, three-phase 400-volt supplies in all five-frame sizes and a full 150% overload for one minute. In addition, the drive is designed to reduce the time and effort required to install, set-up and commission using its integrated keypad.
